A New Era for Conquest
NerdCraft is back! Today your journey will be different from any other you've experienced in the past. You will start as a nameless immigrant in a Kingdom of your choosing, where you will then be given the opportunity to build your name and fortune. With a realistic economy, slowed progression, and in-depth nation-building system with an automated heir and progression system, there is always fun to be had!
Nation Building System
Nations and towns in NerdCraft follow the lead of default Towny, except for added fucntionality. One game-changing addition is the adding of the heir system. Upon your death, you will be temporarily banned from the server for 12 real-life hours. During this time, you will come up with a new name and backstory for your character. If you have an heir set, your town, nation, lands, and money will be passed down onto them, crerating a realistic ladder of succession. Anyone can set an heir - not only kings and mayors! Doing so will ensure the survival of your family even after you have died. Once your ban is over, you will rejoin as a new character unaware of what happened beforehand, and you can start your journey anew.
So this is Roleplay?
Yes, this is roleplay. In this server, it is a medieval era and several major kingdoms are fighting for control of the realm. The five largest nations are given a seat at the Council, an elite group which decides upon major decisions for the realm. These can be as extreme as extending the length of the known world - or as small as condemning a nation. You are expected to follow the lore and theme of the server, and maintain a sense of immersion for everyone online.
What is different?
Everything. Yes, everything. On this server, you can't just punch down a few trees and get diamonds within the first hour. Each block you break will be slow and steady progress until you reach your goals. But doing this ensures meaning for the players on the server. Higher level tools such as diamond hold immense value and quality of life improvements for those who wield them. Simple blocks such as cobblestone have value in the server economy, due to the time taken to acquire it. You can make a living growing and selling food, wood, or mining in the dark caves below the surface.
