About This Server
Welcome to ArochSMP!
ArochSMP is a brand new seasonal SMP server releasing it's very first season! If you'd like to join a fresh community and server to get in on it early then this is the one for you! We have a few unique features to make us stand out as well. Those will be listed below. ArochSMP's goal is to cultivate a small, tight-knit community via whitelisting and an application process. You be at least 16 years old to join the server. PvP is allowed, but is completely optional and griefing via PvP is against the rules. Griefing bases is, however, not against the rules BUT instead of claiming we have "Block Reinforcement" to discourage but not eliminate griefing. It will be explained below.
Features:
1. Block Reinforcement: Borrowed from the CIvMC server (credit where credit is due), on ArochSMP, you'll be able to use stone, iron ingot, or diamond to reinforce blocks, making them more difficult to break and requiring multiple breaks in order to fully destroy a block. Reinforcement will also lock chests and doors, preventing theft unless they are very determined. Stone = 20 breaks, Iron = 50 breaks, Diamond = 200 breaks.
2. Random ore veins: Ore veins are slightly modified in ArochSMP compared to other SMP servers. Basically, there is no natural ore generation within blocks themselves. The only natural generation ores appear in are in exposed areas in caves. Instead, ores will randomly spawn while you mine stone, deepslate, tuff, granite, diorite, or andesite. Every ore has a chance of spawning within a one block radius of the block you mine, even diamond (although its a low chance).
3. 1.8 Combat: Pretty self explanatory. End crystals for for pvp have been disabled as well.
4. Snitches: Craft a jukebox then, while looking at it, type "/snitch create" to turn it into a snitch, basically a security camera. Right-click it at any time after that to view that last 24 hours of any activity that happened within the chunk the snitch is in.
5. Seasons: The server will go through 6 month seasons, after which the server map will be reset to allow for new progress to be made.
6. Worldborder Size: 8kx8k (will expand as necessary)
7. Voice Chat: We feature optional proximity voice chat for those with the Simple Voice Chat mod.
