Vandal SMP is essentially a mix of server genres, having the anarchy genre as the majority.
As this server will keep developing with new features over time, this page presents the most important & eye-catching features.

» Hardcore Plugin
Even though we love the challenge of permanent death, we can't bear to see people losing their friends and being left alone in our world: Therefore we have implemented a mechanic where the more you play, the longer you will get banned, it works by tracking and doubling the time you've spent on the server.

» Local Chat
For the feeling of our large world and to avoid disturbances, our server is set at a fixed local chat of 128 blocks, which matches with the default eight chunk render distance.
For the same purpose we have also disabled private messages, making communication feel real as you are only able to talk to people you can see.

» Altered Difficulty
In this server, we have not banned the use of any item.
Instead, every path to end-game features is more difficult and time-consuming, here are the most noticed features by our players!
/ Villages do not generate
/ Enchanting tables are stuck at level one
/ Structures are further apart and therefore rarer
/ Mob spawning and loot values have been reduced

It comes down to determination, whether you will quit at death or resurrect to resist the difficulty.
Because at the end of the road, lies what we named freedom
