About This Server
"Akvarium" (Aquarium) was launched on October 15, 2025—the same day the "Karasique" server was shut down by its creator for personal reasons. That server was quite large, spanning several terabytes of data. "Akvarium228," created by a few former Karasique players, is a simplified version of an anarchic, 2b2t-style server. It retains the core mechanics:
+ No land claims (privates) or world wipes.
+ Everything is permitted, provided it does not interfere with server performance (e.g., building "lag machines" or using speed hacks is prohibited).
+ A restricted world border—this keeps server hosting costs low, increasing the chances of long-term survival.
+ No donations other than purely voluntary, unconditional contributions; there are no special privileges or roles—you must gather resources and progress entirely on your own.
+ The world border expands on the 15th of every month.
To date, the world border has expanded as follows:
Oct 15: -228 to 228 (a 456x456 block area)
Nov 15: -666 to 666 (a 1332x1332 block area)
Dec 15: -2026 to 2026 (a 4052x4052 block area)
Jan 15: -5000 to 5000 (a 10,000x10,000 block area)
You can check the current world borders at any time using the `/stats` command.
The server creator decides what the next border size will be; it will never shrink.
A few small-scale, local YouTubers play on the server—you can check out their videos, and occasionally, "Akvarium"-themed livestreams take place. Snapshots of the map are also taken periodically for historical preservation.
