About This Server
BlazeVR Survival (SMP)
Direct Connect: smp.blazevr.org
Java + Bedrock | Vivecraft / Questcraft | (Via)Version flexible (1.12 to 1.21.x)
Classic survival without hand holding
This world is built for people who enjoy the normal rhythm of Minecraft without the usual bubble wrap. There are no land claims, no rollbacks to save your base from a bad decision (although rare deaths caused by lag may be entitled to a rollback), and no staff stepping in when someone outplays you. Everything you build can be protected the old fashioned way: distance, strategy, and paying attention.
The result is a semi-anarchy style server that still expects basic decency. Players can steal, grief, trap, and betray. You are free to do almost anything, but you are not free to be a problem in chat. Play how you want, and let others do the same.
How the world feels
The server is a couple weeks old, so the land still feels untouched once you break away from spawn roads. Near spawn you will see activity, small bases, destroyed attempts, unfinished projects and the outline of conflict. The farther you walk, the quieter it gets. Once you set up somewhere nobody has bothered with yet, it feels like your own pocket of vanilla Minecraft where you make the rules.
The world resets when the playerbase votes for it, usually somewhere in the three to six month range. Progress matters, but nothing lasts forever.
Gameplay details that actually matter
• Voice chat built in. Talking face to face is the advantage
• Combat logging is prevented so fights have real stakes
• Graves on death give you a fair shot to return, but not forever
• Tree felling and bonus farming XP (various QOL plugins) keep the grind playable
• Inventory sorting and small quality of life tweaks keep momentum up
• Vote rewards exist but do not dominate progression
• VR players are fully supported and show up more than you might think
• Teleports are limited and travel matters again
• PvP is always on and always allowed
If you want to grind quietly, walk until you cannot see spawn projects and start digging. If you want conflict, stick close to the center or make yourself known.
Player expectations
The community is mixed age but the standard is clear. Do not be toxic, do not harass, and do not ruin chats for everyone else. The server allows betrayal and theft, not cruelty. If a moderator tells you to stop, stop. Everything else is settled in game with tools and swords.
Technical backbone
Running on dedicated hardware located in Southern California.
This is not a rented VPS stack sharing resources with ten other projects.
Intel Xeon W-2145 (8C/16T)
16 GB DDR4
1 Gbps fiber, LA region
Ubuntu 22.04 tuned for Minecraft workloads
Optimized world performance and entity handling
The server was built by hand and is monitored daily. Uptime is effectively data-center grade without the data-center aesthetic.
