Minecraft version 15w45a, a new snapshot for Minecraft 1.9, has been released.

Additions

Realms Notifications

• Added a Realms Notifications to the Options Menu, toggleable to ON and OFF.

• Overpowered changed from "Build a Notch Apple" to "Eat a Notch Apple"

Elder Guardians

• Rare drops now only provide fish, eliminating fishing treasure and fishing junk. This reverts the mob to 1.8 behavior.

ThrownPotion entity

• Linger NBT tag removed. Now decides whether it's a thrown lingering potion based on whether Potion.id is "minecraft:lingering_potion".

Lily pads

• Collision box is now 1 pixel in height, rather than 1⁄4 pixel.

Maps

• Are crafted at a zoom level of 1:1, as was the case before 15w34a.
• Can no longer be zoomed in.

Shields

• Placing a pattern on a shield now consumes the banner.
